spacious dome and a large crowd was on hand to witness the historic
weekend of indoor action. Things kicked off for the Super Late
Models on Thursday night with two rounds of qualifying and Mike
was able to lay claim to the 35th quickest lap of the 97 competitors
On Friday evening, Mike ran a strong fifth in his
stacked heat race, but later finished eleventh in his B-Main and

preliminary feature event. When Saturday rolled around in St.
Louis, "Opie" placed tenth in his consolation event
and once again was forced to watch the $20,000 to win 'Gateway
